Have You Tried Yoni Steaming?!
Connecting to my Afro-Indigenous roots through being a period doula is an experience that has influenced me to delve deeper into ancestral veneration. As a descendant of Black freedmen, I have always felt a strong call to connect with my roots and learn more about my heritage. Becoming this kind of doula has given me the opportunity to do just that while also helping people in my personal way. The act of supporting someone during their menstrual cycle is an act of love, care, and cultural preservation. In many Indigenous cultures, menstruation is seen as a sacred time when a person is particularly connected to their spiritual energies.
I want us to get back to that kind of alignment.
Menärchē is the wellness guide to transform your period. Our mission is to educate, inspire, and create a community focused on better cycle care.
